Reston Neighborhood Report: Deepwood

With the growth in Reston and new demand for existing housing, one community which is beginning to gain recognition is the Deepwood subdivision. Located approximately one mile from Reston Parkway, and two miles from the new Wiehle Avenue Silver Line Metro station (expected opening Labor Day, 2014), the subdivision was built in 1971 – 1974.

Deepwood has 343 town homes and six single family residences, and is an independent community within Reston. The community is clean, well-kept, and many home owners have done significant upgrades. Recent home sales have been at considerably higher prices from a year and two years ago, and most are selling within days. Clearly there is more buyer-demand for the 1300- 1500 square feet town homes than existing supply for sale.
